Geert-Jan Hobijn Geert-Jan Hobijn is an independent curator, founder of Staalplaat Soundsystem (Berlin) and artist working with graphic and audio mediums. Among his most recent projects are those produced by Staalplaat Soundsystem, in a mode he calls "musique korrekt", a sound that is performed using self-built and customized everyday tools, translated into the contexts of orchestras and installations and designed to operate in diverse settings. Hobijn attended the Rijkesakademie (1980-82) and Witte Lely (1981-84) in Amsterdam and graduated with a law degree from Amsterdam University in 1991. He is the founder of the Staalplaat Foundation, the NL Centrum Foundation, the Ambassade Foundation, the Staalplaat Audio Gallery, Berlin, as well as Staalplaat Soundsystem. He has worked as a curator and guest curator on a number of festivals and projects including, Sonambiente (Berlin, 1996), Ars Electronica (Linz, 1998), Zentrum für Kunst und Medien (Karlsruhe, 1999), format #5 - signaturen elektronischer klangkunst (Berlin, 2001), Flash Film Festival (Barcelona, 2001), and garage #5 festival (Berlin, 2001). He has led workshops and given lectures on “do it yourself” culture, sound related art, audio and design at festivals and educational institutions in Germany, Finland and the Netherlands.
جيرت-جان هوبيجن هو خبير انتقاء فنون مستقل، ومؤسس لستالبلات ساوندسيستم (برلين) ويتخصص عادة فى الفنون السمعية والجرافيكية. ومن مشروعاته الأخيرة ماانتجته ستالبات ساوندسيستم بأسلوب يسميه "بالموسيقى الصحيحة" وهو صوت يتم اداؤه باستخدام ادوات صنعها الفنان بنفسه واشياء تم تعديلها من معدات الحياة اليومية، بعد ترجمتها فى سياق اوركسترالى او من خلال التجهيزات بهدف استخدامها فى اماكن متعددة. |
